Gilbert Valentine brings over two decades of financial markets and compliance experience to Innovo Markets. He holds the Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) designation and a B.A. in Economics from Loyola University of Chicago, with additional studies in Digital Currencies at the University of Nicosia. Valentine began his career on the trading floor as a Market Maker and DPM Specialist at Stafford Trading (1997–2004), followed by roles as Principal at Pro-Apex Brokerage & Trading and Trader at Tibra Trading America. He later transitioned into mortgage lending before pivoting to digital assets, where he co-founded Athena Bitcoin and served as its Chief Compliance Officer from 2015 to 2022 — helping grow the firm into one of the most recognized Bitcoin ATM operators globally. He subsequently served as Head of Compliance at Stable.com and Chief Compliance Officer at Unlimit North America. His background spans traditional financial markets, mortgage lending, and digital asset compliance, giving him a broad foundation for managing regulatory risk in energy and commodity markets.
